Before starting any type of exercise during pregnancy, you should talk to your doctor or a specialist to evaluate your health condition.

Everyone's pregnancy process is different, because you are unique, just like your baby. For this reason, it is recommended that you do pregnancy yoga under the guidance of a trained yoga teacher, so that you can learn the right techniques and most importantly, safety precautions and practice in this way. Our instructor will offer you variations in poses according to your week and the condition of your body.

As the Lemon Yogis family, our aim is to ensure that your pregnancy is physically and emotionally comfortable through these classes, to prevent posture disorders and pain caused by the weight shifting forward, and to make the birth process easier.

How do our Pregnancy Yoga Classes go?

Breaths

We will begin with yogic breathing.
These breathing techniques help you reduce or manage your shortness of breath and stress throughout pregnancy, and help regulate your heart rhythm. They also help you comfortably welcome the waves during birth.

Stretch

We will go through movements that will stretch your entire body as much as your body allows. In this way, your body will be prepared for the next stage.

Yoga Poses and Gentle Flows

We will go through gentle flows and try poses suitable for pregnancy to develop the strength, flexibility and balance of your warmed body.
Our main goal here is to ensure that the pelvic floor muscles are strong and flexible, which is of great importance in the preparation process for birth.
We can use various support accessories such as pillows, blankets, tapes, belts in poses that can be done standing, lying down, or sitting, perhaps with a chair.

Cooling down and relaxing with breaths

Towards the end of each session, you will lower your heart rate and relax your body, nervous system and inner world with deep relaxation. By getting in touch with your baby through breathing, you will end your lesson feeling lighter and more refreshed, with a comfort and vitality that is very different from the first time you set foot on the mat.

See you on the mats.. :)
